No News is Good News?
Not really. I don’t have anything to report because I’ve been really busy lately. A lot of good video games are coming out and I don’t have time to play them and work on gotr or sstt. Don’t think I’ve forgotten about you guys
This comes also because a friend pointed out that sstt is a bit more boring than its predecessor. Now, granted, we haven’t gotten to the meat of the book yet, but still things should be more interesting than they are. Hopefully the next section with Fin will help that alone, but Gray’s chapters need a little work. I need to take a bit of time to make these investigations challenging, solvable, fun and also interesting to read.

So that is where I am at the moment. Hi.
Teaser #5
Working as Detective Gray, you have several “aces” up your sleeve that you can use if you get into a tight spot. Firstly, his dashing good looks. Gray is in his late 30s, so he’s just starting to get those first signs of middle-age, but he’s still attractive enough to smooth talk his way out of almost any situation.
Secondly, his watch. There’s a small button on the face of the watch that if tapped three times, and on the third time held for five seconds, will activate two small blades in the watch. The blades shoot out of the sides of the watch and can be detached if necessary.
Thirdly, Gray always has a fresh pack of cigarettes in his jacket’s left inside pocket. Inside his right jacket pocket, he has another pack of cigarettes that he doesn’t smoke. All the cigarettes in this pack are normal, except for one. One of them is a small plastic explosive. To activate it, light it as you would any cigarette. After ignited, the explosive will activate between 20 and 30 seconds afterwards.
Lastly, Gray has a small usb stick, which has three purposes. Its first purpose is an auto-keygen, to hack into databases and security systems. This can take anywhere from a minute to several days, depending on security. Its second purpose is a wireless data transfer. It grabs any data you deem necessary and stores it temporarily on your encrypted server for later review. Its third purpose is optional; it has the ability to find vulnerabilities in systems and exploit them. While this step is mostly scripted, and isn’t always effective, your partner Mason is a blackhat, and can assist this step if needs be.
Teaser #4
The second character So Say the Traitors follows is Fin Kessler. Fin is a pre-teen who grew up in the Revolution. Now that families have lived in the Revolution for over ten years, reserachers have been finding natural rebellion kids have against their parents directed towards the Revolution in over 70% of teenagers. This massive unorganized rebellion is a constant force that parents must deal with in order to sustain their lives in the Revolution. Experts say if this force was to become organized, the children of the Revolution could bring it to its downfall. Fin is just beginning to discover what life would be like outside of his utopian world, and he wants more.
Something fun
Remember the door code ward punches in at the end?

Something odd about that format …
You step out of the elevator and look around. For a private floor, there’s not much being used. The hall goes left and right and is totally free of objects. The walls are even bare. In front of you is a large, heavy-looking door with a small keypad, exactly like the keypad in S33, next to the doorknob. Alright. You look at your scrap of paper and open up the glass covering over the keypad.

Detective Gray
This is Detective Gray. So Say the Traitors follows Gray, a jaded private investigator who’s very good at what he does. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself and isn’t in it for anything but the money. He contracts with the Revolution on a regular basis for data-collection jobs. Usually nothing too difficult; usually it’s pretty boring. Gray doesn’t like boring, but he doesn’t choose his clients. One mission, however, might prove too difficult for even Gray to tackle alone …
